I feel the hungry moon rise in its splendour, once again.

The reek of death lies thick in the air.

In the grip of night-bound madness, I stalk through wood and mire,
Beneath the cloak of darkness, forgotten paths my shrine.
I bear the robe of human form, yet more akin to beasts,
who plagued the Earth in centuries, now lost, but never ceased.
The studded vaults of heaven, reflect within mine eyes,
these old dead worlds a treasure trove, untouchable, and never mine.
I am the scourge of woman-kind, the bastard son of god.
My claws sink deep into the soil, my jaws sink on human throats.
I am the vague shadow of death.
The howling wind that bespeaks the coming of nocturnal terrors.
Sanguine my jaws, black my coat, putrid my breath.
